Petco owns 60% of this company and they leverage prices in their favor. Privately owned retail aquarium and pet stores are forced to pay an arm and a leg for the same exact fish that costs Petco & ORA just merely cents to produce. Petco can kill, sell, kill, sell, kill, and sell with no worries about profit loss because they are majority stake holders. It's sad how they manipulate the privately owned retail stores into further boosting their profit margin.
ORA Stands for Oceans Reefs and Adam, because without that guy this place would be absolutely worthless...Run man, just go start your own place further inland before the next big storm populates the Ft. Pierce Inlet with condylactus loving clownfish and you're connected to the next "invasion" of non-indigenous fish!
Here's how your purchasing from ORA actually goes: A retail store buys 2 Nemo Clownfish, and Petco takes 4 from their own ORA inventory. Petco can then kill 3 Nemo Clownfish(very likely to happen), sell just 1, and still come out making more profit than the retail store that bought just the 2 Nemo clownfish. That's even if the retailer kept both Nemo Clownfish alive and healthy, and sold them both at full mark-up with no discount. It's just sad.....
