Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. This is a state run facility so of course it's bare bones. The counseling is top notch which is what it's all about and your going to get what you put into it. If your looking for massages and yoga then go elsewhere but if you want counselors who care and who are former addicts who understand the process then look no further. I was there 2 years ago and still say this was one of the best experiences of my life

Doctors and staff were helpful. Staff cared about people and wanted them to get better. The outpatient office is fairly organized and they are doing good work there. I thank new horizons for helping me when I needed them.

I was here two separate times for extended periods of time. I hated it at first because I wasn't there by will. But the Staff & Consulers were so nice and caring but they won't baby you they will ride your butt till you get better. They really know what they are doing and taught me so much about self worth. I honestly love the staff there. The buliding is so nice & they pride themselves into keeping it nice and clean.

WORST experience of my life! Like being in a horror movie.

STAY FAR AWAY!!! If I could give this a 0 or even a negative star review I would. I called to get information on admittance requirements. I was told the person needs to be medically cleared and the best bet is to go to the hospital. So after waisting 3 hours in the hospital, we arrived here. We went to the entrance which read "Saturday 100-500. After hours use emergency entrance". It was Saturday, it was 345 and the door was locked. We used the emergency entrance and the 2 staff members were clueless of what I was talking about(even though I called earlier). After explaining my intentions, I was told a assessment is required and it would take 45 minutes to a hour. After going through a metal detector, all of our belongings were locked away in a closet. We go into a 5*10 concrete room(like a holding cell, both doors had lock on the inside; locked in) to fill out paperwork. We rang the bell when we were done. After waiting 20 minutes, a staff member calls the patient back for questioning. After 10 more minutes I got called back for questioning. Basically we were told the patient isn't crazy enough for their facility but she would confirm with the psychiatrist(I was told it would take a few minutes). At this point, it was late in the evening. I waited 10 minutes before calling for staff. Another woman responded, I told her to forget about the admittance I wanted to leave. She said she would tell the other woman. We were litterally TRAPPED in the room, banging, kicking and screaming to be let out so we could go home. Finally the 2 previous staff members come up and let us out. I demand my things, and tell the first woman I demanded to leave a long time ago. The response I got back was: we had to get approval from the doctor before we could let you go!

Best place to get mental health and substance abuse help insurance or not.
