Places a large hold on your account. Doesn't except debit/credit card. Guy was nice, but would never be back. Go to Hertz.
Very friendly and quick service. I walked in and was greeted by Kim who was very friendly and knowledgable. I told her I had a car on reserve but didn't use my upgrade coupon. She was able to give me the upgrade anyway. Upon my return home the process was very easy quick returning the car. I would rent from them again.
Update: Now Avis wants my rental agreement number!!! I'll contact them after Christmas. Geez, don't you think something's wrong? I contact them after being dissed?
Joke of an establishment. Went in 2 days in a row, terrible service both times. Super slow and didn't seem to care about being helpful. Should have just gone to Enterprise
This rental location is privately owned. Their management team is doing a very poor job in keeping vehicle inventory. It is not uncommon for them not to have a vehicle for you even with an active reservation. Very slow service, too casual and too relaxed as it relates to customer concerns. Very unprofessional. This particular location is tarnishing the Avis's name.
The worst rental experience EVER. I am a veteran (35 years, 4 million traveled miles and hundreds of car rentals). The Avis employee Carl should consider being a corrections officer. His brash, condescending attitude and complete lack of customer service deserves the worst of the worst. Here's what happened: Reserved an SUV (SUV necessary for taking gear to the FL Keys for moving a large boat 300 miles) on December 4 for scheduled trip on December 15. Upon arrival Carl informs me no SUV available and offers a Mitsubishi. Really I say? Not a phone call, an email, a text or carrier pigeon? He says, can't help you. How about the nearby towns. Carl replies, nope. I ask for escalation and he gives me a dumbfounded look. Ok, then how about the manager? Carl says, I am the manager. I request his manager, Carl says Nope. Then Carl hands me phone number of customer service. So, after calling my ride to circle back to get me I get on the phone with Avis and reserve an SUV in the next town north 23 miles for an uneventful rental experience. Avis in Fort Pierce? AVOID like the plague!
